I LOVE this place! It's cozy and comfortable, but bigger than you think. They have a variety of new and used books, and some really cool art. They also have readings and events there in the evenings. And, in addition to being a bookstore and gallery, they are also a small press that publishes local, Colorado poets! Fruita is extraordinarily lucky to have a place like this. It's a hub of local culture! Owners are super nice, too!

A beautiful bookstore committed to showcasing poetry. Their excellent collection is well-curated and surprisingly extensive. The book selection is well-represented in all areas - from fiction to science. Lithic is one of those rare bookstores that feels like a living presence. You walk in and can sense the Pulse of intellectual vitality and creative joy. They are well known for their many poetry readings and performance events. They also publish and design their own line of titles, reflecting some of the best poets and writers in the area. Lithic is a rare and beautiful place. Don't miss it.

Stopped in while visiting Fruita and had an awesome experience! Great selection that is carefully curated. Loved the section dedicated to mountain-west literature. Staff member we spoke to knew a ton about books and was very helpful. We went in just looking to browse but everybody in our group left with an unexpected gem. Don't be deterred by the fact that this place is a little hard to find (second floor in a shared space) it is well worth the visit for any book lover!

NOT your B n N bookstore. My kind of bookstore .Books that cover local history, outdoor activities, microdosing, health, 1st Americans, philosophy, kids section, and much more! A must stop if you want to buy one of a kind reads to ponder and add to your collection. They also are a publishingpress for local known poets.

very nice bookstore with lots of great selections! the store is upstairs but the $5 bin is at the entrance of the building. they have a big poetry and nonfiction section. the employee who helped me check out was very friendly and kind. I’m glad I stopped by and will again if I’m in Fruita!

I could have spent all day here. EVERYTHING you want an independent bookstore to be including creative, earthy decor, art, and of course an eclectic and extensive assortment of books so many types of books. . An amazing vibe - welcoming, comfortable, and honestly something for everyone including one of the most impressive assortments of poetry in a bookstore I've seen in a minute.

Gotta be one of the coolest bookstores you will ever go to. Very unique feel to it and the cool events they put on are also very cool.

There is just nothing like a good old school bookstore with that special vibe that bookstores can have. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket and sitting in a wing chair by the fireplace. Outstanding selection of great titles that is really worth browsing. The poetry collection is pretty surprising. If you like a traditional bookstore with that special atmosphere, you found it, go and see for yourself.

This might be the best darn bookstore ever written. Incredibly inviting while remaining authentic and quiet. Great selection of climate-related nonfiction. Wonderful open mic of deeply diverse performances and perspectives. Incredibly chill and non-pretentious for how unique and artful this place is. Wonderful sitting / reading nooks and some digressive layout and surprises. Silly sometimes. A cave of colorful wonders. Must. Go.
